Aviation Nation – Nov. 13-14th 2010

The largest free public event in Nevada returned to Nellis Air Force Base Nov. 13-14 when the U.S. Air Force hosted Aviation Nation 2010– the Nellis Air Force Base Open House and annual Las Vegas air show.

Aviation Nation celebrated the work of America’s military and its achievements on land, at sea and in air, space and cyberspace. The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds headlined the two-day event and were scheduled with several military air demonstration teams and some of the nation’s top civilian air performers.

The two-day event also depicted the history of American aviation and saluted the recent accomplishments of America’s military in operations around the globe through numerous additional military and civilian ground displays. Approximately 100 aircraft covering everything from the earliest days of aviation to some of the nation’s newest military aircraft were on display.
