Dr Sky Interviews Frank Murray CIA A-12 Pilot

Dr Sky interviews Lt. Col Frank Murray who was one of the CIA pilots in Operation “Black Shield”. Frank had the distinction of being one of the pilots who over flew North Korea and took photographs back in 1968 after they captured the U.S.S. Pueblo.  Listen to the hour long radio show above.

Frank and Dr Sky holding a print of the Titanium Goose. It was the two seat/dual control training aircraft that the CIA used to train pilots for the A-12 OXCART Program. It was Franks favorite aircraft to fly at Groom Lake ..better know as “Area 51”. Frank was assigned to Groom Lake from 1963 til 1968 when they were ordered to Kadena AFB in Okinawa, Japan.
