The “Mad Dog”, A Tribute to a Workhorse, Part 2
The McDonnell Douglas MD-80 family of airliners has served the world’s airlines for 41 years , but is now rapidly fading from the skies. The two largest operators of the MD-80 series just recently retired the type, those being American Airlines and Delta Airlines, that leaves fewer than 150 left in service worldwide. In this photographic tribute to the “Mad Dog” we take a look at this workhorse in its heyday and as it continues its journey into aviation history. Until next time, “Blue Skies to All!”
