The 2025 Ft. Lauderdale Airshow

The Ft. Lauderdale Airshow was non-stop action over the East Coast Florida Beach of Ft Lauderdale, May 3rd and 4th. The panhandle beach was packed for miles in each direction of show center, as spectators watched three hours of nonstop flying. 2025 marked the return of the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Team, who headlined the airshow in what was their first appearance in the show in 2023. Weather put a little delay in the show a few times, as a few storm cells moved through the area. Sunday’s show was cut short with the Blue Angels, who stopped mid performance due to a lightning storm over the water.
The line up in Ft. Lauderdale was spectacular. The much-anticipated F-22 demo team tore holes in the skies over the beach, giving spectators quiet the vapor and flare show. Other air show demonstrations included the Miami Coast Guard SAR demonstration, while the NORAD F-15 intercept demonstration appeared for the first time on the airshow circuit. The Ft. Lauderdale line up included the following aircraft demonstrations:
SOCOM Para-Commandos
NORAD F-15 Intercept Demonstration
Quicksilver P-51 Mustang
U.S Air Force F-22 Raptor Demonstration
Miami Coast Guard S.A.R Demonstration
Broward County Sheriff Airbus H-145
Aaron Deliu Aerobatic Demonstration
United States Navy Blue Angels Fat Albert C-130

World Champion aerobatic Pilot Aaron Delui shredded the skies of Ft. Lauderdale, with two G-filled flight demonstrations during the airshow. Aaron made a grand entrance flying next to Fat Albert, as the SOCOM Para Commandos jumped into the air show, from Fat Albert. Aaron circled the Para-Commandos as they made their way to the beach sand. Aaron then gave the crowd a teaser performance before heading back to Ft. Lauderdale airport and refueling for his next full flight performance.
The Ft Lauderdale Air show is a must see. An Airshow over the water is a different perspective than attending a show at a Military Base or airport. The 2026 Ft. Lauderdale Air Show is already shaping up with the United States Thunderbirds scheduled to headline the air show.
