Red Flag 12-4 in Review

Attending the media day last week allowed us the opportunity to go between the runways during the USAF Red Flag 12-4 training exercise. Visiting for the first time was the Colombian Air Force with their advanced KFIR C2 aircraft. These aircraft landed with a drag chute and they need a bit more time vacating the runway which didn’t really seem to slow the recover at all.

Members of the media also got a chance to visit the Colombians as they readied their aircraft for the days mission launch. We were allowed ramp access while crews prepped the aircraft, then the pilots came out and climbed into their jets( watch for another article on this coming soon).

Conditions were less than perfect with the heat and haze but overall we got some decent images.
