U. S. Navy and Marines “CAG” Aircraft Scrapbook

“AA-100” is a Grumman F-14D Tomcat assigned to the Navy’s VF-11 fighter squadron. One or two aircraft in a Navy or Marine Corps squadron wear what has been called CAG (Carrier Air Group) colors, … special markings denoting a squadron’s heritage. The “-x00” or “-x01” numbered aircraft usually carry these special markings, like this one. Hi visibility markings are an eye-catching attribute of the “CAG Bird” designs.
