VERTICON 2026: The Global Vertical Aviation Industry Converges in Atlanta

The Georgia World Congress Center became the epicenter of the global helicopter
and vertical aviation industry as aviation professionals from around the world
gathered for Verticon 2026. From March 9–12, 2026, the event brought together
thousands of aviation leaders, manufacturers, pilots, engineers, and service
providers under one roof for one of the most important trade shows in the
rotorcraft and advanced air mobility industry.
Verticon is the world’s largest conference and trade show dedicated to vertical
aviation—the sector that includes helicopters, powered-lift aircraft, and emerging
aerial mobility technologies. The four-day event in Atlanta attracted more than
15,000 attendees from over 85 countries, along with more than 600 exhibitors
representing every corner of the aviation ecosystem. Across the expansive exhibit
halls, companies displayed their newest aircraft along with hundreds of
technologies designed to improve safety, efficiency, and mission capability.
Attendees ranged from helicopter operators and emergency medical flight crews
to government agencies, military representatives, and aerospace manufacturers.
Industry leaders used the event to introduce new products, demonstrate mission
capabilities, and discuss the future of vertical aviation, including developments in
automation, sustainability, and advanced air mobility. The show floor at the
Georgia World Congress Center featured aircraft manufacturers and suppliers
showcasing the latest innovations in rotorcraft and aviation systems. Major
manufacturers unveiled aircraft designed for missions ranging from emergency
medical services and firefighting to law enforcement and offshore operations.
Among the aircraft and systems highlighted were platforms such as the H145,
H160 air-medical variant, and H125, which demonstrate how modern helicopters
continue to evolve for specialized missions.
Beyond the exhibit halls, Verticon 2026 offered an extensive educational program
aimed at advancing knowledge across the aviation industry. More than 125
education and safety sessions allowed professionals to explore topics such as
operational safety, maintenance best practices, pilot training, and emerging
technologies. Specialized training courses and workshops were held in the days
leading up to the main exhibition, giving aviation professionals opportunities to
gain certification credits and enhance their technical skills. These programs also
created a forum for sharing best practices and addressing key challenges facing
the rotorcraft community.
One of the most valuable aspects of Verticon is the opportunity for networking and
collaboration. The event opened with a welcome reception at Mercedes-Benz
Stadium, where attendees gathered to reconnect with colleagues and build new
professional relationships.
Throughout the week, executives, pilots, engineers, and aviation service providers
met to discuss partnerships, fleet upgrades, and future developments in the
industry. For many companies, the conference serves as a key venue for
announcing contracts, showcasing new aircraft, and strengthening relationships
with global customers.
As the rotorcraft industry continues to evolve, Verticon has become an essential
forum for shaping its future. From advanced helicopter designs to the integration
of drones and next-generation mobility systems, the technologies presented at the
event demonstrate the growing importance of vertical flight in emergency
response, transportation, and defense.
By bringing together thousands of professionals and innovators in one location,
Verticon 2026 reinforced Atlanta’s role as a major hub for aviation events while
highlighting the dynamic progress being made in vertical aviation worldwide. We
